Introduction
The very obvious and recognized meaning of Joy Koinonia is “The Fellowship.” People who share friendly association together are bought by the precious and healing blood of Jesus Christ. Joy Koinonia that delights in the love and joy that we get from Jesus. As Saint Paul describes in his first letter to Corinthians 6:20
“you are bought not your own; you were bought with a price so glorify God in your body.”
JOY is the abbreviation of Jesus owns you. Jesus has given the price and bought us with His blood.

Founder and chairman of Joy Koinonia Pakistan
He, whose is beyond boundaries. He who is loved and appreciated.  He who transcends greatness. Today his name is synonymous throughout Pakistan. None other than an incredible person, Rev. Fr. James Shamuan is the founder and chairman of Joy Koinonia Pakistan.  

• God has used Father James Shamaun to pioneer over thousands of people and open many hearts that have been closed to Gospel.
• His Joy Koinonia is accompanied by a manifestation of God’s love and miracle power.
• In the early years of his ministry he faced tremendous obstacles. Despite the fact of hindrances, he continued to minister under a powerful and heavy anointing of the Holy Spirit with hundreds of people being healed and saved. The door for evangelism throughout Pakistan swung wide open.
• The impact of his teachings spread all over Pakistan and is the turning point in the cities and villages throughout the country.
• Through his efforts there is a meaningful, fruitful revival and renewal is seen among the Catholic community in particular and others in general. People have become committed Christians to the Lord and to the community.

 
Father James Shamaun founder and chairman of Joy Koinonia is a man with a heart that beats for reaching and winning souls. That is the vision God gave to Father James Shamaun back in 1997 in Jerusalem (Winning the souls for the kingdom of God).
Father James Shamaun, Apostle and Prophet of Lord Jesus Christ, is a man on the move for God. He is a man whose entire life is dedicated to fulfilling the call of God to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every single creature. God gave him a specific call. The Holy Spirit revealed the truth of Jesus Christ as the Messiah to Father James Shamaun. Since his call, God has used Father James Shamaun to reach multitudes of people. The vision and specific call from God has resulted in the formation of Joy Koinonia.
 
Most of his time has been spent in evangelism all over Pakistan. He has been going to other nations also every year preaching and teaching a powerful, uncompromised, message of salvation, healing and deliverance.

Literally millions of people around Pakistan have acknowledged Father James Shamaun as one of the leading apostles and prophets of 21st century. Especially all the youngsters are very much impressed by his teachings. They are enjoying happy life in Christ. Because his powerful and effective teachings had a great impact on their lives. Many say that Father James had taught the striking and impressive word of God which have saved their lives from being ruined. And their hearts have been directed towards God. This is a very big revival among the new generation and this renewal is visible among the youngsters.
 
Not only God speak to him but his prophetic annunciations come with a special anointing of God’s presence. He received a divine, supernatural call from God to preach. God revealed Himself to him by a supernatural vision. From that time until now Father James Shamaun never wavered in his commitment and zeal to fulfill the Great Commission to bring in harvest of souls from around the world.
Father James Shamaun’s life has been sacrificially dedicated to training and spiritually equipping, lay people and evangelists to reach people for Christ with a supernatural endowment of power.
Joy Koinonia was birthed in the heart of Father James Shamaun as he was called by God to reach this world with the message of Jesus as Lord!

Why and When Joy Koinonia was established
Joy Koinonia’s establishment is the result of Father James Shamaun’s ceaseless prayers, efforts and work. He wanted to continue his spiritual, moral and social work after his transfer from Wah Cantt and decide to form a Catholic Charismatic Ministry. This Catholic Charismatic Ministry mainly consists of lay people, who support Fr. James Shamaun and work all the time. Jesus owns you Koinonia (JOY) were formed on December 14, 2005. It consists of 300 registered members in the beginning but now the number has increased to 8,000. The people are highly devoted towards their faith. And they dedicated to their mission making the Koinonia known thoroughly worldwide. The members and all the Koinonia are truly subordinated to the chairman. (Fr. James Shamaun). The purpose of Joy Koinonia is to create an environment, which leads the people into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and His Community. Joy Koinonia gives us an experience of being loved and accepted by Christ.

Activities of Joy Koinonia
A healing and worship meeting is held every week on Wednesday. In which innumerable people participate. In this meeting it’s witnessed that people are healed from different diseases and are delivered from numerous problems. People offer their thanks to Jesus at the top of their voices.
Every Monday a meeting is held in Shamasabad which is conducted by Fr. James Shamaun. In which stupendous worship and tremendous sermon is delivered by Fr. James Shamaun .

• A magazine named SHELOKH is being published after every two months.
• A web site of Joy Koinonia had been launched. In which weekly sermons are send forth. Testimonies, reports of different programs are launched Fr. James Shamaun hymns and worship songs can be downloaded directly from the website www.joyk.org. Prayer requests are being sent on the website from all over Pakistan and from different foreign countries. These requests are replied by Fr. James Shamaun himself personally. 
• Joy Koinonia youth meetings are held twice a month.
• Special meeting is held for intercessors of Joy Koinonia on third Sunday of every month. Seminars are held for the spiritual growth of Church.
• First Friday Whole night services are held which is conducted by the team of Joy Koinonia and a large number of people attend it to receive abundant blessings.
• Monthly a retreat is arranged in which the Youngsters and all the Koinonia members enjoy a special day of Grace and Glory personally with God.

Centers of Joy Koinonia Pakistan:-
 

1. Central Center in Rawalpindi.
2. 25 Sub – centers in Rawalpindi.
3. A center in Faislabad was established in 2007.
4. Khushpur center.
5. Kharian center.
6. Gujarat center.

JOY KOINONIA YOUTH

• Since the organization of Joy Koinonia an important need was felt to establish a ministry of youth. Jesus blessed this idea and the youth ministry was started on 9 November 2006. In start there were 15 boys and girls but now there are 150 members in Joy Youth .All the parents and youth appreciate and encourage this vision. The meeting of Joy Koinonia youth is held twice a month. And Fr James himself conduct this meetings in spite of having a busy schedule, he give his full time.
• In 2006 God bestowed Father James Shamaun with a prophetic vision to strengthen the youngsters. He trained up till now more than 200 youngsters in Joy Koinonia. God spoke to Father James Shamaun in 2008 to conduct seminars, conventions for the youth of Joy Koinonia. From January – March 2008 he conducted the meetings and seminars for Joy Koinonia Youth. He took interest and was available in all the meetings himself. Despite of his busy schedule he always takes out time for the youngsters. He cancelled all his appointments and is always present to look after all the meetings which are being prepared for the youth. This shows his keen interest for the youngsters. He wants the new generation to be saved and he has been successful in doing that to a great extent.

INTERCESSORS
Fr. James always tells that intercessors are the prayers warriors.
Intercessor demolishes and defies all the forces of Satan by praying ceaselessly. 12 groups are formed on the names of Apostles:-

1. Simon Peter.
2. Andrew.
3. James Zebedee.
4. John.
5. Philip.
6. Bartholomew.
7. Thomas.
8. Mathew.
9. James Alphaeus.
10. Thaddaeus.
11. Simon Zealot.
12. Mathias.

Who pray 24 hours round the clock everyday. Each group has his own leader and representative.
A meeting is held once a month on the 3rd Sunday in a report a group is shared by the group representative. Special Seminars are held for the training of the Intercessors which is supervised by Father James Shamaun.

Year 2006, 2007
The previous years after the establishment of Joy Konoinia were the years of Glory, progress and spiritual development of Joy koinonia.


Year 2008
This year turned out as the year of Grace, Glory, Achievements, and Stupendous blessings and is the year of spiritual renewal and progress of the community. People opened up their hearts to accept the word of God which helped in building up their faith to the extreme strongest point. People offered their thanks and glorified God through their tithes.
 
This year started with special blessings of God and Father James Shamaun prophesied in the beginning of this year that this year will be the year of anointing of the Holy Spirit. And as we are traveling along the year in completing the journey ahead towards the end this proved true. As its written “Nothing is impossible to God.” (sLuke 1:37). People received a mighty impartation of the anointing upon their lives from attending the meetings of Father James Shamaun. People received tremendous and overflowing infinite blessings of God thoroughly throughout the year. Father James Shamaun made a great use of this year and spare no time on nourishing the people with the powerful word of God. He used all the public holidays fruitfully by arranging the seminars and conventions throughout the year. The community on the whole received abundant blessings from God. Apart from physical blessings innumerable people got the gift of Holy Spirit, tongues and fruits of the Holy Spirit. This is the result of ceaseless efforts of her James Shamaun, who keep on working hard to nourish the people spiritually.

God has blessed Father James Shamaun abundantly. He is not a source of blessing but a blessing for each person. His determination and devotion in terms of authenticity is very encouraging.
As it’s written in the Book of Psalms: - (Psalm 1:3)

“Such a one is like a tree planted near streams;
It bears fruits in season
And its leaves never wither,
And every project succeeds.”

May God continue to increase, enrich and bless Father James in Jesus.
